Calvin Christian School is seeking an Elementary Maintenance & Facilities Lead to support the care, safety, and operation of our Elementary and Collegiate campuses.

This full-time role includes hands-on maintenance responsibilities at the Elementary campus and facilities leadership across both campuses, including support at the Collegiate campus, coordination of custodial and maintenance work, security response, and long-term facilities planning. The position is based on a 7:00 a.m. start time at the Elementary campus and is anticipated to begin on February 9, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance at the Elementary campus, including building systems, repairs, grounds care, and event setup
• Provide facilities leadership and operational support across both campuses
• Conduct regular facility inspections at both campuses and help identify, prioritize, and plan maintenance and capital needs
• Coordinate contractors and support major maintenance projects as needed across both campuses
• Serve as the primary first contact for the school’s security and alarm monitoring system for both campuses
• Support seasonal and break maintenance projects at the Elementary and Collegiate campuses

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities operations
• Ability to perform physical, hands-on maintenance work
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Class 5 Power Engineer certification is an asset
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to provide and safely use personal hand tools and select power tools appropriate to general maintenance work. The school provides commonly used tools; additional personal tools may be required from time to time depending on the task.
• Willingness to respond to alarms and urgent facility needs outside regular hours
• Ability to support and uphold the mission and Christian foundations of Calvin Christian School

Compensation

• $26.00–$30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
