Calvin Christian School’s Elementary campus is accepting applications for a term, full-time grade 1 teacher. The term is from December 2026 to December 2027.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education

Substitute Educational Assistants

Calvin Christian School’s Elementary campus is accepting applications for substitute EAs.

Educational Assistants are under the general supervision of the Resource Teacher and/or Classroom Teacher. They are part of CCS’s education team who provide assistance both in and out of the classroom to students and teachers.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Educational Assistant Certificate (or willingness to work towards this)
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate and/or WEVAS Certificate [Working Effectively with Violent and Aggressive Students or willingness to work towards this]
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and behaviours associated with students with special needs
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable when working with students and receiving directions from professional staff
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and clearly in oral and written format
  • All Educational Assistants and Sub EAs are required to abide by the provincial guidelines.

The collegiate campus (7-12) is seeking applicants for:

Educational Assistant - Part-Time

Calvin Christian School – Collegiate Campus is accepting applications for a part-time Educational Assistant (0.5 FTE). Educational Assistants work as team members with student services staff and classroom teachers to enable students with a variety of learning needs to experience success in the school community. Areas of responsibility will include working in a classroom while supporting multiple students or working with students who need one-on-one support. Employment opportunity begins as soon as possible.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education Assistant Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in a learning environment with youth with learning challenges and/or social-emotional needs
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate and/or WEVAS Certificate [Working Effectively with Violent and Aggressive Students], (or willingness to work towards this)
  • All applicants should have compassion and patience for students who face learning challenges and must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to support student learning.
