Application Forms & Tuition
Step 1 – Complete the Application:
- To register your child, please complete and submit the Family Application as well as the corresponding Student Registration form(s)
- Registration forms are found under Admissions on our school website
- The name of your current church and pastor are required
- There is a $100 non-refundable application fee to apply to CCS. Payment can be made via cheque, cash or e-transfer to ccsoffice@calvinchristian.mb.ca
Step 2 – Submit All Required Materials:
- Copy of the student’s birth certificate or passport
- Copy of the most recent report card
- Custody documents (if applicable)
- Sending School Questionnaire (for Kindergarten student applications) – to be completed and submitted by the preschool or daycare center in February
Step 3 – Pastor Reference
- Calvin Christian School is a Christian school for Christian families.
- The school will send a Pastor Reference request form to the pastor of the church you attend as indicated on the family application.
Step 4: Review
- After we receive your full application, it will be reviewed to confirm all required information is included. If any items are missing, you may receive reminders to help complete your application.
Step 5: Education Assessment
- For families applying for a new school year, the school may request an educational assessment with the Student Services Coordinator to better understand the student’s academic needs.
- For mid-year transfer applications for Kindergarten through Grade 6, the school requires a brief educational assessment with the Student Services Coordinator to ensure a smooth transition and appropriate support for the student. For Grade 7-12 the most current report card is required.
Step 6: Interview
- All new family applications to CCS require an interview with the Principal and one board member.
- The admissions interview will be conducted with the parents or guardians of the prospective student. Students entering Grades 7-12 will be asked to participate in this interview as well.
- Interviews for new Kindergarten families usually begin in February
- Interviews for Grade 1-6 take place in March and April
- Interviews for Grade 7-12 take place in April and May
- We ask questions to learn more about your family, your faith, and your interest in Christian education, and to better understand your child’s educational and social needs. This is also a wonderful opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about the school.
Step 7: Decision
- Once a decision has been made regarding your family’s application and student acceptance, you will be notified by the school office via email.
- You will receive an email informing you that we are unable to proceed with the application if CCS has determined that we are unable to place your child during any part of the process.
Step 8: Enrollment
- Upon receipt of your acceptance letter, a $400 non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm enrollment. This deposit will be credited to the student’s school fee account.
- A tuition form will need to be submitted for the upcoming school year (available in May for the upcoming school year). This form also includes the option to sign up for bussing if needed.
