Student Life
We are urban beekeepers!
Becoming an urban apiary demonstrates our desire for restoration to our students and our community. We use Teaching for Transformation as a tool in each classroom to discover our part in God’s story. Throughout the school year, we will share the many ways in which God has revealed Himself and provided ways for us to be difference makers using the honeybee.
Drama
Our deep hope for students is that they would know God as the Master Artist, understand themselves to be a part of His created work and be inspired to live a purpose filled, creative life! In Drama we train our bodies and voices, have fun and explore different ways to tell stories. We examine what it takes to bring characters to life by stepping into the roles of directors, designers and actors. Students from all grades have the opportunity to collaborate and be involved in a school drama presentation.Lunch Clubs
At lunch time we offer a variety of clubs that students can join, these clubs foster community and help grow students’ knowledge and experience. These clubs are often student-initiated and can vary from year to year.
- Culture Club – celebrating diversity in our student body
- Chapel Band – students rehearse worship songs for chapels
- LEGO® Club
- Sign Language Club
Student Council
The Student Council is composed of student sports representatives, chapel representatives and event coordinators who plan fun events for our students to enjoy. Students look forward to events such as grade wars, spirit weeks, high school dances, 30 hour famine events, service initiatives and more.
