Calvin Christian Collegiate is seeking a part-time Maintenance Person to support the upkeep and daily operations of our school campus. This position is Monday through Friday, approximately 3.5 hours per day (7:00am – 10:30am).

Key Responsibilities

• Building Operations & Safety
  • Monitor and maintain the heating system and Air Handling Unit.
  • Perform and/or coordinate required safety inspections (exit lights, extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire doors).
  • Ensure compliance with City of Winnipeg and Province of Manitoba testing requirements.
  • Open the school daily and ensure facilities are operational.
    
    
• General Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform general building repairs and maintenance.
  • Identify, coordinate, and monitor larger repairs beyond personal scope (with the Head of School).
  • Assist with moving furniture/equipment as requested by staff.
    
    
• Grounds & Seasonal Care
  • Snow removal (sidewalks and bus loading areas); apply de-icer as needed.
  • Maintain flower beds, weeding, and general outdoor upkeep.
  • Complete spring clean-up of garbage, gravel, and debris.
    
    
• Support for School Operations
  • Assist with set-up/take-down of tables, chairs, risers, and platforms for school events.
  • Coordinate one to two volunteer workdays annually.
  • Perform basic cleaning duties when required.
